It’s been over a week since I’ve had a working version of the picklet builder in my development environment. Getting antsy. I’ve been refactoring a bunch of the interface stuff to enable better manipulation of the picklet representation – adding, removing, reordering panels and layers.
In addition I’ve been significantly changing the layout of the editor, replacing the ‘properties’ panel with a set of on-screen button elements for aligning and nudging layers.
It’s almost ready, which means I can get back to making the iPhone app and its javascript picklet player framework with panel navigation controls.
New things of note; thumbnails displayed above the editor panel, and integration of ‘panels’ and ‘layers’ popover buttons into the editor workspace.
